Connecticut's Polling Places
Polling places in Connecticut are open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Any voter standing in line at the polling place at 8:00 PM will be allowed to cast his or her vote.
An optical scan machine is used by most in-person voters. Another method for voting in the polling place is by a special phone for voters with disabilities or for any voter who prefers this option. If you have any questions about how to vote, any election official can help you through the process. Just ask.
Connecticut law requires that all polling places be accessible to voters with disabilities, whether temporary or permanent. Voters with disabilities who wish to vote at their polling place will find a number of services that will help them do that.
